Our Annual WinterFest is BACK for 2022!!!!

Wear your craziest hat or sports inspired costume and kick off YMCA WinterFest while trekking through the frozen tundra and enjoying the beautiful wintry scenery at Parker Dam State Park!

This race is all about fun! Unique race awards will be given to the most unique hat, the most creative costume, overall male and female runners, the person who has traveled the furthest, the oldest participant and more!  It's a fun way to kick start our WinterFest weekend.  So bring the family.  All ages and fitness levels are welcome.

The race is not competitively timed.  We will have a running stopwatch but times may not be accurate.  If you want an exact time, bring your watch.  This race can be a bit snowy and icy but runnable.  If concerned about the conditions bring yak traks.

The Western Pennsylvania Police Athletic League (WPAL) is thrilled to announce, after a two(2) year hiatus, the Western Pennsylvania Golden Gloves Championships are returning to DuBois.
This year’s event will feature local prospects from TEAM 814 who have been training at the WPAL Fitness Center on East Long Avenue. In addition to local competitors, the event will host young talent from across western and central Pennsylvania.
DuBois Country Club, located at 10 Lakeside Ave, DuBois, PA will host the boxing card on Saturday, March 19. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; boxing begins at 7:30. WPAL Executive Director Aaron Beatty said, “We couldn’t be more excited to bring this event back to the DuBois Area. These last 2 years have been tough on everyone, but especially the kids training so hard for the chance at Nationals. We are excited to see them showcase their talents on our local stage.”
The winners will advance to the next round of the Pennsylvania Golden Gloves tournament. All Open Division Boxers are fighting to earn their spot to represent Pennsylvania in the 2022 National Golden Gloves Tournament located in August 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
